"The Nexus of Food Security, Food Waste, and Climate Change"
When: Monday October 16th (Monday), 5 - 6 p.m.
Where: Broome County Public Library, 185 Court Street, Binghamton, NY
This community conversation is part of a series taking place across our communities asking, "What will Binghamton look like under two degrees of warming and what can we do now to prepare?"
It is part of the Binghamton 2 Degrees initiative.
It explores the challenges and potential actions in the context of climate change related to building resilient and sustainable food systems for a more food secure region, and reducing food waste that further contributes to CO2 emissions and global warming.
An interactive panel from our community will have an open discussion on these issues to stimulate more action-oriented dialogue in our region.
